Dominion Clearinghouse originally was formed in early 1995, as "The Wholesale Power Group," to provide creative and comprehensive solutions to meet industry energy needs.

It was renamed the "Dominion Energy Clearinghouse" in January 2000 with the closing of the Dominion/CNG merger, and became Dominion Clearinghouse in January 2005 following the refinement of operations.
