Phase I: October 1, 2006 through August 31, 2008 - Standard Service Offer Auction Preliminary information Package

Attached for your review is a Supplemental Information Package
that modifies and clarifies certain aspects of the Preliminary Information Package
distributed on June 15, 2006. The package also contains several attachments
for the base gas purchase contract, bidder registration form, initial capacity
and supply plan templates, and updated capacity information.
There will be an information session and trial auction on
August 17 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Quest Business Center located in the
Polaris Parkway area north of Columbus, Ohio. Directions to the facility are
available at http://www.quest-centers.com.
Parties planning to participate in the auction are required to attend and bring
lap top PCs able to connect to the internet via an ethernet connection in order
to participate in the trial auction. Other parties can participate by phone
by dialing 866-740-1260 and entering pass code 7366376.

by Friday, August 11, with the name, e-mail address and telephone number of
those in your organization who plan on attending the August 17 meeting. Please
limit attendance to those who will have a direct role in your organization's
participation in the auction process.
Please note that the bidder registration form must be submitted
by August 11. The form must be accompanied by the financial security needed
for the number of tranches that you intend to bid upon (if you have not already
provided it to DEO) and your initial capacity and supply plans setting forth
a plan to supply those tranches. If you have not yet finalized your financial
