As part of the Strong Men & Women program, students
in Virginia, North Carolina, and high schools in Ohio's Cleveland, East Cleveland,
Euclid and Warrensville Heights School districts were invited to submit
essays about their African-American role models, and how those men and women
have influenced them.
The essays were judged, and those selected as winners from
Dominion's Virginia, North Carolina and Ohio operating regions are listed below.
