Protecting wetlands, constructing a greenhouse for an elementary school and improving access to nature sites are among the projects that more than 500 Dominion volunteers in 14 states tackled in 2006 as part of the company’s annual "Putting Our Energy to Work for the Environment" campaign. In all, Dominion employees completed 19 environmental projects.

This year’s projects include repairing berms in a wetland in Clover, Va.; construction of a greenhouse at an elementary school in Spotsylvania County, Va.; the creation of walking paths at Towpath Trails Park in Northfield, Ohio; and replacing a roof at historic Fort New Salem in Salem, W.Va.
