Trees and Shrubs

Dominion plants a variety of trees and shrubs along its rights-of-way. In addition, our vegetation management practices encourage the revitalization of wildflowers and other species specific to Virginia. Our practices to minimize environmental impact include the following:

• Encourage natural replacement of shrubs, grasses and flowers
• Enhance wildlife habitat
• Avoid mowing where possible
• Apply approved herbicides with backpack sprayers
• Plant species in appropriate areas where repeated pruning is not necessary
