To use our online calculator you'll need to know the wattage of the appliance, which can usually be found on the appliance or in the owner's manual.

If you use an item less than an hour per day, you can enter parts of an hour (i.e., 15 minutes=.25, 30 minutes=.50, 45 minutes=.75).

Note: Results from this calculator are based on Dominion's average electric rate of 8.52 cents per kilowatt-hour.
