Dominion Boards Elect Officers
Richmond,Va.; May 5, 2000 -- The boards of directors of subsidiaries
of Dominion Resources Inc. (NYSE: D) elected four officers April 28.
Elected by the boards of Dominion Energy and Virginia Power
were:
David A. Christian, senior vice president-Nuclear. Christian,
45, had served as vice president-Nuclear Operations, since July 1, 1998. A graduate
of Virginia Tech with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Christian
is a 24-year veteran of the company's nuclear and fossil generation program.
Christian succeeds James P. O'Hanlon, who retains his responsibilities as president
and chief operating officer of Dominion Energy.
William R. Matthews, vice president-Nuclear Operations. Matthews,
52, has been site vice president-North Anna Power Station, since March 1, 1998.
A product of the U.S. Navy's nuclear program, Matthews has been in the company's
nuclear operation for 23 years. He will oversee the operation of North Anna
and Surry power stations.
David A. Heacock, site vice president-North Anna Power Station.
Heacock, 42, has been manager-Station Operations & Maintenance at North Anna
since July 1, 1998. A graduate of the University of Virginia with a bachelor's
degree in nuclear engineering, Heacock is a 21-year veteran of the company's
nuclear program.
Elected by the board of Dominion Resources Services was:
Gregg T. Kamper, vice president-Telecommunications. Kamper,
36, joined Virginia Power as vice president and general manager of VPS Communications
in 1997. A graduate of Fairfield University with a bachelor's degree in economics
and Michigan State University with a master of business administration degree,
Kamper worked for GTE Corp. and Citizens Communications prior to joining the
company.
