Dominion Energy Names Retired Navy Chief as Senior Vice
President
RICHMOND, Va. – Dominion Energy has named Admiral Jay L.
Johnson senior vice president, effective September 18.
Johnson initially will be responsible for designing and implementing
a new continuous improvement program. The program will streamline and enhance
the operational effectiveness of processes throughout core operations and administrative
support services at Dominion Energy, its parent company and other Dominion subsidiaries.
Johnson, 54, served as Chief of Naval Operations and as a
member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from 1996 until his retirement in July.
He served as commander of the U.S. Second Fleet from 1994 to 1996 and as commander
of the USS Theodore Roosevelt Battle Group from 1992 to 1994.
Johnson graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1968 and
served two combat tours of duty as a naval aviator in Vietnam. He held various
squadron and fleet commands and onshore senior administrative assignments throughout
his 32-year naval career.
