Dominion Executives to Swap Jobs

RICHMOND, Va. -- Two Dominion (NYSE: D) executives take on new job responsibilities this week as part of the company’s commitment to integrate its natural gas and electricity distribution networks.

Thomas A. Hyman Jr., senior vice president-Electric Distribution, and Jimmy D. Staton, senior vice president-Gas Distribution, will assume each other's job responsibilities, titles and relocate to Cleveland and Richmond, respectively.

“This job exchange will allow Tom Hyman and Jimmy Staton to bring new perspectives to their respective organizations and facilitate the union of Dominion’s two major delivery functions,” said Edgar M. Roach Jr., chief executive officer of Dominion's electric and natural gas delivery group. “It’s a strategic allocation of talent that will allow Dominion to pull its distribution teams together and broaden the understanding of what we do."

Dominion's electric delivery organization has about 2,600 employees in electric distribution construction, operations, safety and training. The gas distribution organization has about 1,300 employees in gas distribution operations, engineering, operations services, and safety and training.
Hyman, 49, has dedicated his career exclusively to the electric utility industry. He began with the former Virginia Power in 1970 as a summertime college intern prior to joining the company full-time in 1973. Since then, he has held a series of management and executive level positions within the company. He will have offices in Cleveland and Pittsburgh and oversee gas distribution operations in Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Clarksburg.

Staton, 39, has valuable rates and pricing experience that will benefit Dominion on the electric side as markets deregulate and open to competition. He previously served as president-Asset Operations, for the former Consolidated Natural Gas Company’s regulated businesses. He has also held positions with Arkla Energy Resources (now Noram Gas Transmission Company) and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. He will be based in Richmond and oversee operations in Virginia where the company does business as Dominion Virginia Power and northeastern North Carolina, where the company does business as Dominion North Carolina Power.

Dominion has a 20,000-megawatt portfolio of generating assets, 2.8 trillion cubic feet of natural gas and oil reserves, and operates North America’s largest natural gas storage system. As the nation’s largest fully integrated gas and electric company, Dominion serves 4 million customers in the Northeast and mid-Atlantic regions of the United States.
