Dominion Discontinues Plans For Tennessee Power
Project
RICHMOND, Va. – Dominion (NYSE: D) said today that it was
not awarded the winning bid by the Tennessee Valley Authority to develop a 600-megawatt
natural gas-fired electric generation facility in Montgomery County, Tennessee,
and is discontinuing plans for the project.
Dominion submitted its bid to develop the facility in May
2001 in response to a TVA request for proposal.
Dominion, headquartered
in Richmond, Va., is one of the nation’s largest producers of energy.
