Dominion Celebrates 20 Years Of Volunteerism
By Honoring Volunteers Of The Year
RICHMOND, Va. - Dominion will honor the spirit of community
service and the volunteers who make it work this month by recognizing 13 employees
and two retirees as 2003 Volunteers of the Year.
Dominion's award-winning volunteer program celebrates its
20th year in the company's Virginia and North Carolina service areas. Today,
given Dominion's growth, the volunteers come from six states and represent Dominion's
commitment to the communities in which the volunteers live.

The aftermath of Hurricane Isabel last fall tested the fortitude
of Dominion volunteers in Virginia and North Carolina as they collected 2 ½
tons of canned food for local food banks. They also delivered more than 300
meals for various Meals on Wheels programs. For the company's annual "Putting
Our Energy to Work for the Environment" event, volunteers seeded and planted
trees at a national park in Cleveland, built gardens at the Pittsburgh Zoo and
refurbished a spillway at a nature center in Houston.
