Dominion Seeks 'Strong Men & Women' Writing Contest Entries
RICHMOND, Va. - Dominion is seeking entries for the 2006 Strong
Men & Women essay writing competition from African-American high school
seniors in the company’s North Carolina and Virginia service areas.
Each school can submit two student entries. Four winners will
each receive a notebook computer, and their schools will each receive $1,000.
Entries must be submitted no later than Nov. 16.
The contest is in conjunction with the company's "Strong
Men & Women: Excellence in Leadership" series that recognizes
nine state and national leaders each year. The writing contest invites high
school seniors to research and write about African-American heroes who have
been honored during the 15-year Strong Men & Women series. More information
on the Strong Men & Women essay
contest is available on Dominion’s Web site.
The awards will be presented at a ceremony in Richmond in
