RICHMOND, Va. – Dominion, one of the nation’s
largest energy producers, is for the 11th consecutive year accepting applications
for the Dominion Educational Grants partnership program. The program helps schools
in Dominion’s service areas strengthen math and science skills for students
in grades K-12.
The Dominion Foundation will provide a total of $220,000 to
be awarded to schools and educational institutions that submit successful grant
proposals. The grants range from $500 to $5,000.

areas in North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia and
Texas are invited to apply. Applications must be submitted through the company’s

application deadline is May 1.
The grants supplement the regular math and science curriculum
in the various school systems, and encourage innovation and creativity for students,
teachers and parents.

The Raleigh County School system in West Virginia was awarded
$4,200 to purchase math starter sets for 25 elementary and middle school teachers.
In Fairfax, Va., Thomas Jefferson High School received

and quality of the water in the Potomac River.
At Fort Island Primary School in Fairlawn, Ohio, $4,500
