Dominion Unit Promotes Robert Blue To Vice President-State And Federal Affairs,
Chester Wade To Managing Director-Corporate Communications
RICHMOND, Va. – Dominion Resources Services, a unit
of one of the nation’s
largest energy producers, has promoted Robert M. "Bob" Blue to
vice president-State and Federal Affairs and Chester G. "Chet" Wade
to managing director-Corporate Communications.
Blue, counselor and policy director
to former Virginia Gov. Mark Warner, had served as managing director-State
Affairs and Corporate Public Policy since joining the company on July 1, 2005. In
that position, he led Dominion’s
government affairs teams in Virginia, North Carolina, West Virginia, Pennsylvania,
Maryland, the Northeast and the Midwest.
A Charlottesville native, Blue was
graduated in 1989 from the University of Virginia with honors and in 1994 from
Yale Law School, where he was editor-in-chief of the Yale Law and Policy Review.
Blue
reports to Eva S. Hardy, senior vice president-External Affairs and Corporate
Communications.
Wade, who was director-Employee Communications and
Creative Services, was director-Corporate Information at Consolidated Natural
Gas of Pittsburgh in 2000 when CNG and Dominion merged. At CNG he was in charge
of media relations, financial communications and special projects. Prior
to joining CNG, Wade spent 13 years at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, including
four years as business editor.
A Pittsburgh-area native, Wade was graduated
from Penn State University in 1976 with a bachelor's degree in Journalism and
a master of Business Administration degree from Robert Morris University.
Wade
reports to William C. Hall Jr., vice president-Corporate Communications and
Community Affairs.
