Dominion Energy Announces Nuclear Officer
Changes
RICHMOND, Va. -- Dominion Energy, a unit of Dominion
(NYSE: D), announced Friday several changes within its nuclear organization
in Virginia and Connecticut. All changes are effective June 1.
Raymond P. Necci, 49, vice president-Nuclear Technical Services
at Millstone Power Station in Waterford, Conn., will become vice president-Nuclear
Operations. Necci was a member of the Millstone leadership team when Dominion
purchased the station from Northeast Utilities (NYSE: NU) in March. Necci will
be responsible for plant operations and maintenance, training, nuclear documents
and procedures, radiological protection, fire protection, site services and
plant security.
J. Alan Price, 46, will succeed Necci as vice president-Nuclear
Technical Services at Millstone. He will have responsibility for all engineering,
procurement, oversight and regulatory interface for the station. Price is presently
director-Nuclear Engineering for Dominion Energy's Virginia nuclear power stations,
North Anna and Surry. Price joined Dominion in 1979. He was director of Millstone
Unit 2 from 1996-99 when Dominion assisted Northeast Utilities with recovery
and restart. Price also participated in the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations’
employee loanee program from August 1995 to September 1996.
Necci and Price will report to William R. Matthews, vice
president and senior nuclear executive-Millstone.
Eugene S. Grecheck, 48, vice president-Nuclear Operations
at Millstone, will become vice president-Nuclear Support Services in Richmond.
Grecheck will oversee support services, licensing, emergency preparedness, training,
security at the Virginia nuclear power stations and Dominion’s involvement in
the nuclear industry’s early site permitting project. Grecheck, who joined Dominion
in 1975, has held a number of leadership positions within the company, including
site vice president at Surry. Grecheck will report to David A. Christian, senior
vice president and chief nuclear officer.
Necci earned his Bachelor of Engineering degree from the
State University of New York Maritime College in 1973 and an MBA from Rensselaer
Polytechnic Institute in 1982. Necci joined Northeast Utilities in 1976 and
held a number of key management and leadership positions within that company’s
nuclear organization.
Price received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
from Old Dominion University in 1979. During his 20 years at Dominion, Price
has held several positions, including assistant station manager for Nuclear
Safety & Licensing at Surry.
Grecheck received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics
and a Master of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic
Institute in 1974 and 1975, respectively; an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth
University in 1981; and an MBA Upgrade from Syracuse University in 1996. He
completed The Executive Program of the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration
at the University of Virginia in 2000.
Dominion Energy is a subsidiary of Dominion, which is one
of the nation’s largest producers of energy, with a production capability of
2.7 trillion British Thermal Units of energy per day. The company has a power
