Dominion Signs 5-Year Contracts With North Carolina Towns -- Black Creek, Lucama, Stantonsburg and Sharpsburg

RICHMOND, Va. - Dominion (NYSE:D) today announced new five-year electric power contracts with four North Carolina towns - Black Creek, Lucama, Stantonsburg and Sharpsburg. The contracts were negotiated through Dominion's business unit, the Dominion Energy Clearinghouse.

Under the terms of the contracts, Dominion North Carolina Power will continue to provide all the electric power for the towns. For Sharpsburg, the new contract begins January 1, 2003. For the other three towns, the contracts begin February 1, 2003. Combined, the four towns currently use about 75,000 megawatt hours a year.
