Dominion Virginia Power Seeks Bids For Peaking
Capacity Or Demand-Side Programs In Northern Virginia
RICHMOND, Va. – Dominion Virginia Power issued
a request Friday for either 300 megawatts of new peaking capacity or demand-side
management programs for Northern Virginia.
Bids will be compared with company-projected
costs of adding 300 megawatts of generation in Northern Virginia.
The company would
prefer bids for capacity that could be delivered by June 15, 2008, but will
accept bids for delivery by as late as June 1, 2009. All
bids are due by Jan. 3, 2007.
