ORLEANS – Dominion Exploration and Production, a subsidiary of Dominion
(NYSE: D), has appointed Richard L. "Rick" Fowler vice president
and general manager, Gulf of Mexico Operations.
The region includes Dominion E&P’s deepwater,
Continental Shelf, and southern Louisiana assets.
Fowler previously was general manager of deepwater development.
Dominion E&P President and CEO Duane Radtke said:
"For the last 10 years, Rick Fowler has been directly involved in
the successful performance of our assets and the strategic management
of our offshore business unit.

including the Devils Tower, Independence Hub and Thunder Hawk projects. He has
led the effort in attaining a high profile for Dominion E&P within our industry."
Fowler has been with the company since 1996 when the offshore
unit was still part of Consolidated Natural Gas Co. (CNG). CNG merged with Dominion
in 2000. Prior to joining CNG, Fowler performed reservoir engineering and operational
duties for Exxon.
As an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers
(SPE), Fowler has served as past president of the Delta section, chair of the
Gulf of Mexico deepwater symposium, and committee member for the geology and
geophysics session for the SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition. He
also serves on the SPE program committee for the annual Offshore Technology
Conference in Houston. Fowler holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical
engineering from Tulane University in New Orleans.
