Dominion Honors Akron Employee as a Volunteer
Of The Year
Representing the best in volunteerism and commitment to her
community, Akron employee Barbara Barna will be honored as one of Dominion's
Volunteers of the Year for 2002.
Barna will be honored at Dominion's annual volunteer recognition
ceremony today in Cleveland.
Barna, a Dominion East Ohio administrative assistant, was
an integral part in Dominion's participation in the American Cancer Society's
Copley Relay for Life, Lifelink, Harvest for Hunger and the Neighborhood Conservation
Services of Barberton. Barna is especially proud of her role as the Dominion
team co-chair of the 2002 Relay for Life. The Dominion team alone, raised more
than $10,000 for the Relay for Life, and took honors as the Copley Relay "Rookie
of the Year."
For being selected a "Volunteer of the Year," Barna's
charity of choice, Relay for Life, will receive a $1,000 donation from the Dominion
Foundation.
