Gas Line Replacement Terms and Conditions

The Gas Line Replacement "Program" covers the gas service line from the utility connection to the point where the gas line enters the home.

1. The Program shall not cover underground gas lines which are damaged before the start of service to the customer under the Program. Dominion Products and Services, Inc. retains the right to inspect the gas line for sixty (60) days after receipt of the customer’s enrollment.
2. Coverage under the Program starts after first payment is received and enrollment in the program exceeds 30 days. Coverage continues thereafter so long as the customer makes timely payments. Customer prepays coverage under the program. Coverage may be suspended in cases of nonpayment. Your account must be in good standing (current) to receive replacement service under this Program.
3. This Program does not cover external gas lines running to external appliances and fixtures such as, and not limited to, the following: gas lights, pool heaters, gas grills.
4. After the line is repaired or replaced, Dominion Products and Services, Inc. will provide basic site restoration service to the affected area. Such restoration is limited to backfilling, raking, reseeding and patching paved surfaces. It does not include the restoration of trees, shrubs, replacement of paved surfaces or structures.
5. Damage to the gas line or other property caused by the actions of the customer, third parties, natural disasters, acts of God or other insurable causes are excluded.
6. A Customer with an inside meter is required to participate in the inside meter relocation addition of the Program. This entitles customer to meter relocation to the outside, if possible during a normal line replacement.
7. Dominion Products and Services, Inc. shall have the right to modify this Gas Line Replacement Program, from time to time, on thirty (30) days written notice. Dominion Products and Services, Inc. shall have the right to terminate the Gas Line Replacement Program on ninety (90) days written notice.
8. By signing the application, the customer: (a) represents that to the best of his/her knowledge, this gas line is free from any pre-existing leaks or damage; and (b) authorizes the utility to provide us with any information about this account.
9. Gas Line Replacement Program charges will appear on customer utility bill or will be billed annually.
10. Program does not cover lines that exceed 500 feet in length.
11. Dominion makes final judgment and reserves the right to establish coverage eligibility.
12. Dominion Products and Services, Inc. will not reimburse the customer for work performed by the customer or by a third party.
