The In-Home Gas Line Repair Program covers the repair of gas lines inside your home that connect to the appliances inside your home that fail due to normal wear and tear, and is provided by Dominion Products and Services, Inc., hereinafter referred to as “Dominion”.
- The Program is limited to single-family dwellings and duplexes, not including mobile homes, which are customers of a natural gas utility.
- Coverage under the Program starts after the first payment is received and enrollment in the program exceeds 30 days Coverage under the In-Home Gas Line Repair Program starts after receipt of first payment and continues thereafter so long as the customer makes timely payments. Customer payments prepay coverage under the Program. Coverage is suspended at the end of the prepaid period in cases of nonpayment. Your account must be in good standing (current) to receive repair service under this program. Dominion retains the right to inspect the in-home gas line for sixty (60) days after receipt of the customer’s enrollment.
- When a leak occurs, the Program covers the following:
- all parts and labor to repair an in-home gas line (after the meter);
- in-line gas shut-off valves;
- pipe, fittings, flex connectors.
- The following are excluded from coverage under the Program:
- pre-existing damage and leaks;
- exterior gas lines;
- gas lines serving secondary buildings not attached to the home (such as detached garages and storage sheds);
- damage or leaks to the gas line or other property caused by the willful or negligent action of the customer or a third party, or by other insurable-type cause;
- relocation of internal gas meter to a site outside the home;
- gas lines which are integral to an appliance;
- removal of items to access the gas line (such as furniture or non-permanent structures);
- structural or physical restoration such as concrete, drywall, paint, wallpaper, paneling, etc.
- propane homes.
- Dominion makes final judgment and reserves the right to establish coverage eligibility.
- After the line is repaired, Program provides for leak test the affected area and provide general cleanup.
- Dominion shall have the right to modify the Program, from time to time, on thirty (30) days written notice. Dominion shall have the right to terminate Program on ninety (90) days written notice.
- Dominion reserves the right to contract work to designated contractors on an as-needed basis.
- By enrolling, the customer represents that, to the best of his/her knowledge, the in-home gas lines are free from any pre-existing leaks or damage.
- The Program’s liability is limited solely to the repair of the home’s in-home gas lines. The Program shall have no liability for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential or other damages. The Program will not be responsible for damage caused by the customer, third parties, natural disasters, or other insurable causes.
- Customer may cancel participation at any time.
- Obligations of Dominion under these terms and conditions are backed by the full faith and credit of Dominion.
