Professional and Salaried - Career Profile

While Dominion has many positions for those seeking technical careers, the company also needs those seeking non-technical career opportunities.  A lot of these positions are a part of the Services area of Dominion. 

The Services Company provides support to all business areas within the company (Energy, Generation and Virginia Power).  Some groups that rely heavily on the knowledge and skills of professional employees are listed below.

  • Accounting and Finance - Our Accounting and the Finance groups are responsible for inter-company accounting, the creation and settlement of Services Company billing projects, processing monthly billing, accounting for employee benefits, and accounting for Dominion stock. You can explore being a Tax or GAAP Accountant or maybe an Auditor or Controller.
  • Communications -As a communication professional at Dominion, there are many opportunities available to you, including writing content for business area-specific communication channels, developing content for companywide messages, creating content for the company intranet site or the external website, or developing content for the company magazine, or as a Market Research Coordinator you might be responsible for coordinating research projects to assess customer needs for the Dominion Virginia Power business unit.
  • Human Resources - Some of the career opportunities in our Human Resources (HR) area include representative, specialist and generalist positions in workforce relations, communications, benefits, compensation, and staffing.
  • Information Technology - Positions in this area would enable you to use your computer skills and technical knowledge to handle computer-related issues and operations.
  • Sales - As a member of Dominion's retail department, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, which may include or selling equipment and other energy- related items.  (i.e. Cirro Sales Account Manager or Customer Care Representative)
  • Security - Our Security department has several career opportunities, including  armed and unarmed security officers at Dominion's nuclear stations and internal investigation positions in our corporate office.
     

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualification is typically a degree in a related field and/or previous work experience in that area.
