The current “Five Things" is about Coal Ash.

Anthem and Patient First

Anthem BlueCross BlueShield logo

Due to a contract dispute between Patient First and Anthem, beginning on February 2, Patient First will no longer accept new patients who are covered under an Anthem medical plan. Patient First will be mailing letters this week to individuals who have ever visited a Patient First in the past, explaining this change. If you have visited Patient First in the past, you will not be impacted by this change. However, if you have not been to a Patient First previously will not be offered services at a Patient First facility as of February 2.

Dominion is hopeful that Anthem and Patient First can resolve this matter expeditiously. In the meantime, if you need assistance locating a doctor or urgent care center in the Anthem network of providers, please contact Anthem Member Services at 1-800-348-1966 for assistance or visit the Anthem website at

We will share any additional information with you as it is made known to us.
