Light Not Working?

How to Report an Outage

Residential Lights
Do you pay the bill for the light? If so, call us at 1-866-DOM-HELP (1-866-366-4357) to report the outage.

Neighborhood Lights
If you don't pay the bill for the light, and it's on private property or a private street, it may be private or lighting paid for by your Homeowners Association. Please have your Homeowners Association call us at 1-866-DOM-HELP (1-866-366-4357) to report the outage.

Public Streetlights
If the light is on a public street, it's most likely a streetlight. Streetlight outages must be reported by calling us at 1-866-DOM-HELP (1-866-366-4357).

What to Know About Streetlight Outage Restoration

  • From the date the outage is reported, the investigation of the outage may take up to 5 days to complete.
  • Depending on the result of the investigation, the repair could take 2 – 3 weeks to complete (underground cable repair, overhead cable repair, lighting fixture replacements).
  • If attempts to repair the underground cable are unsuccessful, the entire span of cable will be replaced. Cable replacements could take 45 days or more to complete.
  • Special permitting requirements or unexpected field conditions will have an adverse effect on the restoration timeframe.
  • When streetlight outages reach a high volume, repairs may take longer than usual. Causes of high volume may include:
    • Inclement weather
    • Major storm activity
    • Municipal-wide lighting surveys
