A participating contractor performs an onsite Energy Audit of a non-residential customer’s facility. You will receive a personalized report showing the projected energy and potential cost savings you could receive by implementing the energy efficiency improvements identified during the audit.
Upon documented completion of some or all of the personalized recommended energy efficiency improvements, a portion of the audit value will be refunded, up to the full amount.

Yes. If you are responsible for the electric bill and are either the owner of the building or reasonably able to secure permission from the building owner to have the audit conducted and identified improvements completed.
The participating contractor you choose to perform the audit will provide the cost for performing the audit as well as any recommended measures. Upon completion of the work, a rebate will be submitted on your behalf, so your out-of-pocket cost will vary depending upon the rebates you qualify for based on the measures you had installed.
No. If you participate in a program and receive a rebate, you cannot Opt Out for three years following the year of participation.
Example: Participation takes place in 2013, customer cannot Opt Out in years 2014, 2015, 2016 and will regain the ability to file an application for the 2017 season between Jan. 1, 2017 and March 1, 2017, provided the demand requirements are also met.
No, you have up to six months to have recommended improvements completed after the audit. On the day of your audit, your contractor will provide you with instructions for submitting rebates for work you choose to have completed at a later date (but within six months of the audit).
The rebate amount is based on the measures installed; however, the average incentive is typically around $1,800. Note:
Please allow up to 90 days from the date all required information is received to process your rebate. Payment will be issued to the account holder and mailing address on record with Dominion - unless the customer has authorized the rebate to be paid to the contractor.
It is the responsibility of the customer to assure that all requirements for the rebate are met. Failure to provide any of the required information will delay processing of your application and could result in non-payment.
